3 ON 3 OBJECTIVES

To improve PASSING, PUCK PROTECTION, SKATING and UNDERSTANDING OF PLAYING WITH and WITHOUTWITOUT THE PUCK

  • If you have the puck, you should be trying to get the minimum 2 passes in ASAP.  Players have to go to space to receive a pass, constantly moving and changing lanes and angles.

  • Once the passes are made, you are in attack mode.  Quickness, accurate passing and shooting with intent will be needed.

  • If you don't have the puck, then your goal will be to retrieve it. Man to man might be the easiest way.  Your goal should be to make it hard for the puck possessionpossessing team to make their minimum 2 passes.  Again, SPEED, AGGRESSION and your ability to read the play will help create a turnover.

  • On a turnover, you immediately go to offense or attack mode.

  • The shifts are only 1 minute in length, so you have to work hard while you are out there.  You can rest on the bench!

  • Changes are very important for puck possession.  The harder you skate to the bench, the faster your teammates can get on the ice and retrieve the puck.  PUCK POSSESSION is very important in this game.

  • You have to want the puck and be willing to do the work to get it.  Once you have it, you have to be willing to do the work to get open.  Both are equally as challenging as the other.

SATISFACTION will come from HARD WORK, so WORK HARD!   EVERYONE has the  ABILITY TO WORK HARD!
